Nicole Richie explains why Paris Hilton wasn’t at her wedding

Nicole Richie married her long term partner, Joel Madden in an intimate ceremony at her father, Lionel Richie’s house over the weekend.

But a certain someone wasn’t in attendance. Nicole Richie’s former best friend, Paris Hilton.

And now, according to DigitalSpy, Nicole has explained why: “We only wanted to celebrate with the people who we love and who care about us.”

Ouch.

Regarding her new husband, Nicole said: “My dad calls Joel my Prince Charming. And that’s what he is!

“Joel let me organise my dream wedding. Harlow didn’t sprinkle the flowers, she just kept putting handfuls of them on the floor. Sparrow was the ring-bearer.”
