Paris Hits Bondi Beach

BONDI Beach, usually impervious to the visiting rich and famous, broke into celebrity hysteria when perennial party princess Paris Hilton took a lunch time swim.

Dressed in a white Louis Vuitton string bikini, white short-shorts and trademark oversized sunglasses, the hotel heiress drew a massive Christmas holiday crowd of onlookers keen to catch a glimpse of the socialite.

The trip to Bondi almost never happened, however, after she began her Sydney visit with a blonde moment of her own – arriving two hours late because she forgot to take her passport to Los Angeles International Airport.

It was a fitting blunder for the 25-year-old American hotel heiress, who is being paid an “undisclosed sum” by ad man John Singleton for her week-long visit to find the face of his new low-carb beer Bondi Blonde.

Hilton, famous for being famous, rocked up to LAX minus her passport; the faux pas pushed an embarrassed Hilton onto a later flight.

Looking relaxed and happy and wearing jeans, a black and white striped singlet, a blue velvet beret and her trademark oversized sunglasses, the pint-sized star eventually made it to Sydney.

“I’m really excited to be here in Sydney for New Year’s,” she said, adding that she was looking forward to seeing koalas.

“Sydney knows how to party.”
